Cranberry Club Team Tryouts

Things to know:

• All tryouts & practices are held at Sports & Courts Cranberry/Warrendale (18U tryouts and select National teams also utilize the JCC South Hills)
• Online pre-registration required: click here
• Choose your age group based on this chart (coming soon) or by registering for the athlete’s fall 2023 grade
• Tryout fee: $55 (2 day tryout)

When are tryouts:

• 15U (9th grade)
  • Tryout Day 1 – Positional – attend 1 of the two sessions based on position
    • Setters/middle hitters | Mon, July 17th | 5:30-7:00 pm
    • Passers/pins (OH/RS) | Mon, July 17th | 6:30-8:00 pm
  • Tryout Day 2 – Competitive play – all positions attend
    • Sat, July 22 | 9:30-11:30 am
• 16U (10th grade)
  • Tryout Day 1 – Positional – attend 1 of the two sessions based on position

Can’t make tryouts?

• Join our early conflict tryout at Sports and Courts Cranberry.  Select the conflict tryout option during online registration for tryouts.
  • 15U (9th grade) Mon, July 10 | 5:00-6:30 pm
  • 16U (10th grade) Mon, July 10 | 6:30-8:00 pm
  • 17U/18U (11th/12th grade) Mon, July 10 | 8:00-9:30 pm

What do I need for tryouts?

• Pre-register online (click here)
  • Enter athlete information
  • Choose tryout dates
  • Pay tryout fee
  • Complete waivers
  • Be sure to complete the online facility waiver (click here)
• Tryout day
  • Athlete check-in: confirm details, receive tryout shirt and number
  • Try out!

Do I need a USAV (OVR/KRVA) membership?

• No. Cranberry Division teams do not require a USAV membership to try out or to be rostered for the season.

What about National Teams?

• Athletes interested in trying out for a National level team should register for and attend tryouts in the Cranberry location.
• Athletes participating on a National level team must be age-eligible.  Athletes may not participate on an age waiver.
